Morro Bay Optometry has been caring for patients since 1975. Our patients’ visual needs and wellness are our highest priority. Our commitment is to enhance quality of life by providing comprehensive and personalized eye-care of the highest level. We provide state of the art medical technology, as well as a full-service optical dispensary.

Our Doctors:

Tiffany Smart Dr. Tiffany Smart

Dr. Smart grew up in Los Osos, California. She attended the University of California San Diego where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She went on to complete her doctorate of Optometry at the University of California Berkeley. She completed internships at Portland and Palo Alto VA hospitals, focusing on eye disease and geriatric eye care.Dr. Smart focuses her practice on primary eye-care and medical eye-care. She is trained and licensed to treat glaucoma. She speaks French and clinical Spanish and she believes in great patient care and building relationships with her patients.

Dr. Smart is an active member of the California Optometric Association and past president of the Tri-County Optometric Society. She enjoys volunteering in the local community and hopes to continue her travels abroad to provide eye-care to underserved countries.


Dr. Elizabeth Torres

Dr. Elizabeth Torres earned her Bachelor of Science degree and Optometry Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Elizabeth is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association and the Tri-County Optometric Society, which includes Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo County. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Optometry. As a member of the International Eye Institute and I Care International, she has traveled to Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador and Peru on eye mission clinics, and provided eye exams, ocular medical treatment, and glasses for the indigent population. She also helps locally as an Optometric volunteer and Board Member of the San Luis Obispo Noor Foundation, a non profit organization in San Luis Obispo County that provides free health services for the uninsured and unable to afford health care. Dr. Elizabeth Torres enjoys being an optometrist. She examines children and adults, and is fluent in Spanish.
